Growing-up near southern England's beautiful New Forest and coast, Paul Coghlin developed an interest in creative photography from a young age, regularly travelling out with a camera to capture the natural surroundings.
Now based in Suffolk, UK, the multi-award winning photographer has continued to expand his creative style over the years, producing evocative images of the natural world and our surroundings, with his photographs appearing in magazines and exhibitions.
The monochrome images are achieved through a carefully balanced blend of tones, textures and often long-exposures. In contrast are eye-catching but subtle colour compositions, with many featuring a single prominent colour in an object or region of the photograph.
With a strong determination to maintain the character and detail in every image, high quality digital and medium format film cameras and lenses are used during the photography and prints are individually created using archive-quality pigment inks and professional Photo Rag papers.
Paul is an Associate member of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP).
